Amy Murphy is an award-winning Communications Specialist for Royal Oak Schools. Amy graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Broadcasting and Communications and has worked most of her career in communications and public relations. Before coming to Royal Oak, She worked for Comcast, the MHSAA Network/PlayON Sports, and various news stations. She is in charge of all communications from the district, including publications, website management, and social media. She also works closely with WOAK's Station Manager, planning student productions, sports coverage, and coverage of school events and activities.
Amy is the President of the Central Michigan University Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts Alumni Advisory Board and on the Michigan School Public Relations Association (MSPRA) Marketing Committee. She is also a childrens book author.
